Battery Test Equipment

Improper functioning of battery systems installed in utilities, power plants, telecommunication systems, industrial applications and etc., can cause severe failures of the supported equipment and loss of critical information. Therefore the battery systems are ought to be tested in order to verify their actual SOC (State of Charge) or SOH (State of Health) and to prevent unwanted scenarios which could result in significant budget loss as well as endanger of human lives.

DV Power battery testing equipment is able to perform the following battery measurements, using BLU and BVR devices:

The report can be easily customized and saved in different formats, such as XLS, PDF, Word, or RTF format.

Battery Charger ( BAC25A)

Battery charger BAC25A is a portable universal battery charger. It can be used for charging Lead-Acid and Ni-Cd batteries. BAC25A is intended to support the main charger in order to charge battery much faster. They can also be used to quickly recharge a battery following a discharge test . Using two charging modes it provides the safely regulation of charging procedure. As a result achieving both fast recharge and low risk of overcharge. This device generates current up to 25 A.

In addition, it is equipped with thermal, overcurrent, and over-voltage or under voltage protection. Provided display enables users to read all relevant information during a charging process and to adjust the charging current, charging time, etc.

Battery Resistance Tester (IBAR)

DV Power battery resistance tester – IBAR is portable accurate and very quick resistance tester which determines the state of health of batteries by taking measurements of important battery parameters such as cell internal resistance, cell voltage as well as inter-cell connection resistance.

It is ideal testing tool for maintenance, troubleshooting and performance tests on individual stationary batteries and battery packs in critical backup energy solutions. Device gives a Pass/Warning/Fail indication. All the measurements can be saved in the devices internal memory for later analysis.

Using DV-B Win software it is possible to download results from devices internal memory to a PC and to generate graphical reports for historical trending and further analysis.

Battery Voltage Supervisor (BVS)

The BVS is an integrated system consisting of:

  • BVS Control Unit (BVS-CU)
  • Cell Voltage Modules (CVM)
  • String Voltage module (SVM) (optional)
  • String current module (SCM) (optional)

The system of Battery voltage supervisor identifies a potential battery malfunction. That is done by monitoring the following cell parameters from an array of the cell voltage modules CVM:

  • Cell voltage
  • Intercell connection voltage
